Buying and Selling in Thrift/Consignment Shops

It appears that the worse the economy gets the more places like Goodwill, Thrift Shops and Consignment Shops have to gain. Where else to look for a bargain than in these slightly used merchandise outlets. The other day I found a beautiful cookie jar made of tile mosaic and I paid just $8.00. The price was still on the bottom for 24.99 and it looked like new and it is beautiful. I think I can turn around and sell it online for 16.00-20.00 thus doubling my money.

Tomorrow I am going to a local live auction here in Charleston, SC and they are putting up for sale an unopened bottle of 2000 Dom Perignon champagne in its original box. I wonder what it will bring... I see it is valued at $129.00 - 439.00 by area wine merchants. Found Gradated Enamel Cast Iron Pots and Pans

Well today I discovered a 7 piece set of blue enamel cast iron cookware... there were two dutch ovens, a sauce pan and a small skillet... I took them to a consignment shop and got $75.00 without waiting for them to sell... good deal... they were beautiful but they weighed so much I could not lift them from my oven... so hopefully the new owner will be working out at the gym!!! $75.00 Cash
